I tried to get my children qualified. My daughter used to be quite the pianist for a while. I don't think she plays much seriously these days.
The guitar that I'm playing is a 1966 Fender Coronado II, like:

Which I sold waaaaay too cheaply a long time ago.
If you used that mic, I think smelling someone's bad breath on it would be the least of your problems. 
Or somebody used it to pound nails, forgetting you're supposed to use an SM57 for that....

Reminds me of a friend whose new Cadillac kept blowing a fuse, so he replaced the fuse with a thick copper wire. The next day, we drove to downtown Chicago for lunch. As we were walking down the sidewalk after dropping the car off at a parking garage, the garage attendant ran past us. On the way past, he yelled "mister, mister, your car's on fire." Destroyed, it was.
