Bass Murf power question

I noticed the Bass Murf runs a different power scheme than the normal Moogers. It needs 300ma and runs negative polarity from normal power supplies.

My question is this. I know it can be powered via Voodoo labs pedal power 2 by using the Line 6 section, a special reversed cable and using just the one power output to max the 300ma, but what about the Voodoo Lab IS0 5? can it be used in the same manner?. I have looked all over the net for information regarding this and Have not been able to find anything yet. Curious if anyone is powering theirs this way and if it works.

I'm not familiar with the IS0 5, but you can successfully run the Bass Murf via outputs 5 or 6 + reversed polarity cable. The non-MIDI Murfs(at least) draw about 210-220ma.

Voodoo's website says it has an isolated 300mA section that can be used for 9v or 12v (possibly 9v and 12v). I am saying you can use it.

Based on that, I agree: Either unit will do the trick, and the ISO 5 will do it with (head)room to spare.
