I've been nicknamed "Thumper" in two different bands. Second one was from the funk thumb. First band it happened I started as "The Rabbit" and then changed to "Thumper".

I've been called Redneck, Bloodfist, bottom feeder and thunder foot lol. The guys in my band now usually call me redneck.

About a million years ago I had a band that gigged pretty regularly for a while. After you get to seeing enough familiar faces in the audience, it feels kind of wierd to do a straight introduction of the people in the band.
So we would make up somewhat grandiose names for each others jobs. For example Eric wasn't just the keyboard player. He was "the Chairman of the Boards". Yeah I now. It's lame. But we thought we were cool back then.
My nickname as the bassist was "Lord of the Low Frequencies". As the lyricist for the band, I was introduced occasionally as either "the Bard", or "the Bard of __________" with the blank part being wherever I lived at the time: 'the Bard of Arlington', 'the Bard of Burleson', etc... That's actually the original source of the nickname, Bardman, that eventually turned into my screenname here.

Actually at times Ive been called my SN. My other three are simply "Bass", "Subwoofer", and throughout my deployment I was known as "Chocolate City" (one reason was, because of the heat I turned from a light brown to chocolate). The story varied depending who asked.

a gospel band i was recording with for a little while used to call me "Marcus" (miller). while i was flattered i just kept thinking," Man, i wish i could play a fraction of what he does."
I call bass players "Lowenders" and my stage name of "Thor" came from being the low-end thunder of my band.
In an old band the guitard used to call me The Rock not because of any reference to Dwayne Johnson but because I was like a rock in the music. I find my groove and settle in the pocket and I don't go anywhere. I was like a metronome, he said. ...Course that was annoying as hell because I was the one holding the tempo together nine times out of ten because the drummer had a habit of going all psycho and speeding up with these OH MY GOD I JUST S*** MYSELF fills at every second...
