Very cool...

Hello TB'ers,

I was just hangin' out in my living room when I noticed my BN6 drenched in afternoon sunlight, and it got me taking few fresh pics of my bass.

I'd like to invite everyone to share the very best of what they've seen, in bass photography. By no means setting any standard...here's my one and only BN6 taken with my point and shoot 35mm...

Bring on the eye candy.

I know this is old but you ought to take a shot of that bass on that wood floor...

I think the spirit of this thread is somehow being lost... :(

Come on guys, there are plenty of other places to post shots of basses on bed spreads, lifted of the internet or via camera phones!

This isn't meant to be a show you bass thread, although with a nice picture it can be. There's a heck of a lot of latitude there!

While I understand where you're coming from, I take offense to the camera phone dig. I took mine from a camera phone and thought they were just as artistic as any high end camera shots provided here (in many cases, moreso).

Composition and choice of background are key.

There are some great shots on here. Thought I'd do some artistic stuff. Warwick Corvette Standard (i'm such a sucker for that grain)

you HAVE to do some shots of your thunderbird.no one on here did shots of a thunderbird(as far as i know,i only got to page 16,then skipped here)

I'm sorry - no offense intended.

Of course there is no reason why you can't take a brilliant pic with a camera phone. I suppose what I mean is that overall a shot on a camera phone is usually a quick snap with no real composition or care to background, etc. Of course you can take the same bad pictures with a Nikon D3, so it's not about the tools.

On top of composition and choice of background, lighting is also important, which is where a lot of quick snaps on camera phones let you down and you end up with a overly grainy image. However, grain can be cool with the right composition and background........you get what I'm trying to say!
