I read this in some guy's sig, but I can't remember his name. He came up with the quote himself.
"If bass playing is wrong, I don't want to be right."

One of my favorite quotes happened to come from AC/DC guitarist, Angus Young. He once said, "if you can hum it, you can play it."
Of course,m this was back in the mid '80s when I first took up bass. I was quite the AC/DC fan back then and put this advice to good use when it came to learning a song. I still think of it from time to time when learning a new song or when trying to get that bassline in my head to come out thru my fingers.
"I just wanted to eat my rice & beans." - Flea.
