Bass Player Quotes needed..can you help?

So I've got the following web site now:

Link Removed

and on it is a little Java utility called the Quoter, which feeds text across the screen. I've decided to load it up with as many quotes from bass players (well known-or otherwise) as I can compile.

Got any good ones out there? It can be anything you want that's fit to print as long as it has a source/attribution of some kind.

Many thanks,

Unfortunate I didn't catch this thread earlier. I was just going through some old papers from one of my classes and I had 2 sheets of bass quotes, I looked 'em over, there were some nice little nuggets of quote fun there, but I said to myself "I'm pretty sure I have this backed up somewhere" so I trashed it. Now that I think about it, it may or may not be backed up. Oh well. If I do happen upon it, I'll contribute what I can.

"The only thing Don Ellis plays in 4/4 is 'Take Five'". -Charlie Haden

"My name is John Francis Pastorius III & I'm the greatest bass player in the world" -Jaco Pastorius

"Don't call me Charlie; that's not a man's name, that's a name for a horse" -Charles Mingus

Here's a few from Bryan Beller:

In response to Mike Keneally's "I'm going to count this in three because it's in three, okay?" to a song that is indeed in three as he says that's his 'default mode' is four and a laughing crowd response - "We're really good musicians, so we talk about stuff like that before we go in." Taste the pungent mixture of irony and sarcasm. ;)

In response to a audience participation "conducting" experiment gone horribly wrong - "Are you baked or something?!?" Context is everything on this one. :D
