Hoping to get feedback on the sum of parts and the potential for a pinch of magic.
Drummer 1st, bassist, then guitar. I started on a squire affinity pack, touched just about everything Guitar Center & Sam Ash offer. Explored the whole tone wood rabbit hole. Currently using a Matt Freeman squire w/Steve Harris Seymours.
How the instrument feels to my touch now matters most. The question is, best way to get desired result? It’s the little things, fret wire, neck finish, action, buzzes, etc.
Should I get a high end model from a maker or a bunch of parts from a place like Warmoth?
On a molecular level, do we really think there’s a discernible difference in parts outside of pickups? Measuring sound is very different from hearing it. Especially in the 300Hz and lower frequency range.
