Bass recomendations

I've been playing bass for 2 years and have a bottom-of-the-range beginner bass. I am looking to upgrade to something within the price range of AU$500-$700 (US$450-$650) with hard case. I'd rather a used one as i don't have to spend as much and can get a better quality one. Thanks:bassist:

With that budget on the used market you have tons of options. All depends on what style you like.

Myself, I'd be looking at either a Fender P or J, or a Peavey T-40. Lots of versatility and all on the low-end of your budget.

As much as it pains me to say it, Made in Mexico Fender. Your pick Precision or Jazz. I'd also suggest looking into Dean or ESP. I personally got a bad apple on my ESP, but they make decent active basses.
