Bass Recording...

Hey Guys!

Just a quick question. Currently to record videos and jams I use a 1/4 to 1/8 jack to plug the bass directly into the record input, then straight into audacity. Audacity is good, but delays my recording, so it doesn't go with the song I'm recording to. Is there another amazing free program that I can use, or do I need a better quality plug for the computer?

Much help appreciated!

Actually, you can adjust the latency setting in Audacity! Go to Edit -> Preferences -> Recording, and it's right there in the middle. Tinker with it till it seems to be exactly the way you played it.

Thanks for the info man, but I don't quite understand:confused:. This is like my first real time screwing with audio settings. Please enlighten me xD. No jk but all I need it to do it record it at exactly the same time that the song plays so that is does not give a delayed recording.

Idk man but thanks! :bawl:

EDIT:

Any help guys?
