bass rig

im buying a bass rig.

probably will buy an ampeg 4x10 off my friend for a cab.

idk which head i should get, my freind has an acoustic 150 and an acoustic 370 as well as a sunn concert lead which i hear sounds decent as a bass head.

also has a peavy mark iv and a gallien kruger 200

any help?

playing in drop c heavier music, looking for a heavier tone but need something relatively loud as well.

Mark IV. The Sunn is a guitar head. I have an Earth Producer Bass as my backup & it's basically a Peavey Mark copy from the 70s. It's loud and does the job. I also play mostly drop C heavy music.

i know the sunn is a guitar head.. but i hear lots of people play them as bass heads too

There's a reason he doesn't want to sell the 370....to me it's a GREAT bass head. I'd take the Peavey second, very solid rig also.
