Besides the Bass Emporium, isnt there another "bass-only" store in Austin? I might be wrong about that. Planning a trip there in a couple of weeks with a bass playing buddy. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Bass Shopping in Austin

I'm sure there is, don't know the name.......I would love to go there myself after buying a ric from them.....Have fun....
Bass Emporium is an excellent shop all around. There's Austin Bass Traders too- high-end stuff to be had there. These are (to my knowledge) the only 2 bass-specific shops in Austin.
But! Since you're there you may as well check out South Austin Music, Ray Hennigs Heart of Texas Music, Austin Vintage Guitars, The Custom Shop, Musicmakers, and Doc Holidays Pawn Shop...all of which are within blocks of each other off of South Lamar Blvd. and are very easy to get to. You never know what gems you may find!
But! I'm in San Antonio but travel to Austin frequently since my son lives there. Yes, Austin is a great town for bass shopping. The two high end stores mentioned are very, very nice and the independents have some neat stuff.
