My suggestion is similar to Pontiacs. I bought a Levy and went to a motorcycle/leather shop and had a longer extension piece made of matching leather. Looks good and fits well.

Minotaur straps are up to 59". They're made in Greece so you'd have to wait for international shipping, but the price is reasonable and the quality is good. Lots of designs, double check that the one you want is the length you need.

Look for Levy’s XL straps - 63 inches. I am also 6ft 5in. And have similar troubles. Only problem is that they are all black in xl.

Lots to do! Granville Island and downtown night life. Visit Whistler, Capillano Suspension bridge. Take the ferry to Victoria and visit the Museum. Visit Vancouver Art Gallery. All sorts of trails and parks for hiking walking. Golden Ears Park.. I love the outdoors. Don't forget the World Cup is here June to July...

I had already ordered a Levis Xl Leather strap and now I have ordered an extension from (Richter Extension RAW/Spring break I-III) thanks to Zwitsal 1989. I am still going to be looking for a custom leather 4 inch. Thanks again every body!!

The XL goes up to 60”. Not cheap, but you’ll have it forever. It’s comfy right out of the box, but when it breaks in, it will become a part of you.

This. I have gone through many different straps over the last 50 years of bass playing and now all my instruments have Moody Straps.

I know the OP is set, but for future reference, Mono makes a long version of their Betty strap, which is outstanding IMO. I use the shorter version. The long is 59".

Hello All,

I am 6' 5" tall and cant seem to find a strap for my bass the fits? I am from Vancouver Canada, so it would seem my options are limited. I have looked up custom guitar straps, but most of them look like old men playing acoustic guitar around a fire...lol ( no offence, I am 56 years old so i think its okay for me to say that) looking for a 3 inch wide, padded shoulder guitar strap that's 60 inch's long!!
I have already looked up the following: OCHRE Handcrafted, Memories Made, Custom Leather Canada, Levy's Leather

Any help would be appreciated.

I am 6'3" and get my straps from Sweetwater. Unless you wear your bass around your ankle you should be able to find something.

If nothing else, the Ernie Ball nylon option will extend to insane length and are like $9

I love my Right On! straps. I have several on my basses and guitars. I bought them for the super long possibilities. It's hard to see in the link but the strap shown could be extended close to an additional 12". Very high quality and super comfortable. Other brands were OK but none could give me the length options I needed. I highly recommend.

I was 6’3” (we shrink over time), and the good news is, over time, your need for an extra long strap will slowly go away. In addition to shrinking, over time the position you prefer will change. I now use straps set to 51 inches, though I was at 62ish in ny youth.

Levy’s makes a 3 inch wide fabric strap that’s very long, and easily adjustable i’ve given away a few with basses- basses with strap locks need easily adjustable straps when at schools where tge kids are all shapes and sizes..
