Bass Strings Online is Closing

Well, my world just got a little smaller.

So sad to hear of this, Jason, but I completely understand. Thank you for the great products and great service you've provided personally to me, and to the greater community of musicians.

Prayers for you and your family as you finish one chapter of your story, and begin a new one.

V6

P.S. I'm going to buy some stuff, now.

Thank you all again for your support through the years and all of the kind words!

Me too. So I decided, "Well, one set is better than no sets!"

Then I saw it was PayPal only. Bummer.

Sorry to say that while I like to help out any business, I won't deal with PayPal (had a very bad exp with then years ago, and will not drop a dollar through them)...

There are various reasons I am only accepting PayPal through the website at this time. If you would like to call in an order I can do a card. For my protection and your protection I prefer PayPal at this time.

If we had been all willing to pay a bit more for Jason's excellent personalized service, would he still be in business? I wonder....

NONE of you did anything wrong! I don't think any of you could have done anything else. Your continued support though the year has been all I could have ever asked for and I appreciate it so much!

I thought about adding a "Support ______" option or a "fee" where one cay pay a fee yearly or lifetime like some "other sites" but I don't feel it is right if I am selling something to ask for MORE money for a service I FEEL should be provided when someone makes a purchase anyway. I especially would not do such a thing if there was any other way to get "ad revenue" form the site as well. I've never put an "ad" or sold any information from my website.

There is also a big online "marketplace" that charges $119 a year to their customers. I don't think it is right to have to pay for a service you are going to pay for or even if they are also charging the sellers 30% or more to sell to you. But I'm not getting into that right now....

Sorry to hear this Jason. I caught your Facebook live video and it was painful to watch. My Dad owned a business and it killed him. I mean, he literally fell over dead of a heart attack trying to figure out how to keep it going. Glad you didn't go out that way my friend.

It's tough out there, and I've thought about going into business for myself but every time I put the numbers together I just can't make them work.

My Dad used to tell me, "Son, if you know how to work hard you'll never have to worry about a job". He was right. You're a hard worker and I'm sure things will end up working out better than you anticipated.

Thank you I do appreciate that! I am so sorry to hear about your father. There have been many nights lately while working late where I was afraid that would happen to me and my wife would come to my office and find me.

Thank you again for your continued support!

Best of luck Jason! You ran a great business and your reputation is golden in the TB world. Thanks for the great selection, prices, and support over the years. It's obvious that you are disappointed in having to shut down, and lots of us share your disappointment. You'll certainly be missed! Whatever led you to this decision, I would say that the pages of responses here endorse the opinion that you ran a great business! I wish you success wherever your path takes you!

I don't know if it was ever asked, but did you ever consider selling the business or taking on partners?

BSO is the best.

Factoring currency exchange + shipping to Canada it was still cheaper than any other store (online or street).
And Jason was still able to provide A+ service.

Amazing choice, convenience, and unbeatable prices.
That was not advertising boasting, it was real.

Wel, I placed my last order on anything I could use.

I wish Jason the best.

I do the "$119 guys) solely for the free fast shipping, but not for music equipment. I feel I need to support my peeps. But I was kind of wondering if your free shipping was killing you. I always thought you should have charged for that, especially given your low prices, at least up to a set amount. Others do it like that. Anyway, will miss you!

I really do not want to get into any details. I was happy with the pricing I sold at though and we can leave it at that.
