Bass Strings Online is Closing

@SLaPiNFuNK
Thanks for everything Jason. You have been nothing but outstanding, as our supplier and here in TB.
I remember having an issue of some sort with an order (can't even remember what it was about!) but you rang me personally to sort it out. The fact that I live in Wales in the UK obviously didn't phase you either! It was great chatting with you and your passion is contagious.
I hope you take that passion with you to your next venture and find whatever balance in life you need.

Big respect to you bass brother.
Thank you.

Simon.

Wow, Very sad news. Jason made living in my no selection little Canadian town a little easier with his incredible selection of strings.
I made many, many orders with only one or two bumps along the way that were very quickly dealt with. I have nothing but great things to say about Jason and BSO, If he happens to pop up some where else again..Ill be there

Jason, I've just filled my cart with few things from your available inventories, but there's a message saying that "There is no shipping option for the address you entered. Please go back and check the address" at the checkout page. The address is fully entered and it's the same address that I used for the last 3 orders from you without any problem (not that I had ever had any problem with the previous 8 orders with different addresses either). And to make sure, I even have logged in to my PayPal account (and yes, the address is same address as in my PayPal primary address), but the message didn't change.

So, is this means that you don't offer your remaining inventories for international customers?

I re-enabled international shipping. International shipments just take too long to process. I will disable international shipping again before Monday.

thanks Jason, but ouch... :dead: USPS "Priority" International only? The shipping cost would be way too much compared to the usual USPS International service that you used to offer. Sorry for being troublesome.

I imagine you might be the type who'd ask for water in the desert and then complain it's too warm.

Dude made an accommodation for you (that he didn't have to do). I think a hearty "Thank you!!" full stop may have been the better follow-up post.

No need for that, mate. It’s just that it can be very frustrating as an ‘international’ customer ordering from US stores and frequently not being able to use a slower (and hence cheaper) shipping option. It’s annoyingly common! I’m sure each vendor has their reasons for it but for the customer it can seem like an odd thing to be forced to use fast shipping. Sadly we are used to jumping through such hoops in certain countries as availability can be a big problem locally in a way that it is not so much in the US - consider yourselves blessed!

Jason can do what he likes and so can the customer - in the end he’ll probably be able to get rid of the stock domestically in a reasonable timeframe so it makes sense that that’s his choice given that he’s said it’s more labour for him.

Depending on the weight of the parcel that may be the only thing available.

I enabled both first class and priority. The services shown are what are available by your country but also weight.

You’re cranking ‘em out, @SLaPiNFuNK! Got these in record time. Thank you brother!

Last week I ordered SIT silencers from bassstringsonline. After having hated chrome flats on my squier VM five string P bass, I had the thing strung with rounds E-C for a while just for something different. Fun for playing solo. Finally went back to BEADG and tried the "pressurewounds" I've been hearing about.

They sound like rounds, but "tamed." Not like old dead rounds, just rounds that obey my commands -- a powerful, balanced sound. I got a fairly light gauge, that's my only regret as I'm finding the B string a little too floppy for my taste, but man the sound is great.

I just placed my last order. I've been playing upright more these days, so it has been awhile since I last ordered electric bass strings from Jason (yes, BassStringsOnline carries double bass strings, but not the brand/type that I play).

Jason's customer service has always been top notch. I remember a few years ago Jason calling me up to resolve an issue with some expensive Thomastik strings. He really went above and beyond and ended up breaking up other string sets in his stock in order to provide me with replacement strings. But that's Jason style -- there are never any problems, only solutions.

Best of luck Jason. You'll be missed.
