Aguilar cuz I played one at church and it sounded awful
Epifani Amp cuz its only 1 channel and Heavy
Genz Benz Amps cuz its only 1 channel and the 750 n up are too heavy
Carvin Stuff - I've never played anything they make that worked for me...
Fender - There's a lot better made stuff these days
Large Rack & Speaker Rigs... Been there done that....

I get a huge fat and punchy sound out of my Walter Woods, Mesa Powerhouse 2x10 & SWR Goliath 4x10; and can use just one cabinet and it sounds killer.....

For me, OLP, because the name is so unimaginative and inane, and Dingwall, because it just sounds.... dingy.

The original post. The operative phrase is "dorky name". There are no references to looks, value, price, playability, etc.

That being said, almost all my gear is named after its' respective builders so I'll just be polite...although "Acme" is pretty f***in' funny. Apologies to Andy Lewis.
