Bass switch problem?

Got a passive bass w a humbucker that has a 3 way toggle attached to it. Seems when it is in the bridge position I get extremely low or no volume...if I play with powerful attack I can get more sound, but seems like something is shorting or dying? Before I open it up and have a look, anything I should be looking for or trying first?

How about the other two positions? If they are normal, it sounds like the switch needs attention.

Neck coil sounds perfect, the middle position sounds identical to the neck position and the bridge gives me a problem.

If there is a switch problem, is this something that you would use some sort of contact cleaner on or do I need a new switch entirely? Is this even a problem to troubleshoot over the internets or should I bring it somewhere? I'm not shy with a soldering iron or self repairs, but this is one of my CTs so I'm nervous to even open it up.

If you have a leaf switch, like pictured below, there could be something (a wire maybe interfering with the switch. If you have a sealed switch look elsewhere.

Rock n roll!!! It is a sealed simple toggle. I'll snap some pics when I finally cave and open it up to have a look. I keep kinda hoping that it will just go away as I did bring the bass out to a jam recently and it magically worked in the bridge position. Bringing it out tonight so we'll see

As I got up the balls to open it up and take some pictures I did some experimenting and was able to get everything back to normal by blowing on the parts and making sure none of the wiring was sitting badly. Yay!!! Easy fix!!!!

None-the-less, figured I'd share the pics in case anyone sees what was going on...

It was the switch closest to the neck, on the left in the pics
