I used to play that line with the "Blue" notes.
With the Bb chord, it's Db slightly bending up.
With Eb, it's Gb bending up.

I wasn't entirely sure what to write there. The song is not @ A=440hz and, as you mentioned, there's that little bend

The bass does not play Major interval/note D with the Bb chord.
The bass does not play Major interval/note G with the Eb chord.
