    Hi

I searched high and low on the internet for bass tutorials, in which there are, but I think it would be more effective for me to learn with videos or pictures with instructions

Is there any site on the internet for beginner bass that has it.

On a side note, I have this book (with helpful pictures) called Play Bass Today level I, and it tells me to pluck the A note (4 string, second fret) But can't I just produce the A note by plucking the opening string and fretting the note? When I try that I don't get the tone but just a mute sound or I do get a tone but the volume is very low...

Please do yourself a huge favor and look up an experienced bassist, or a bass teacher. Give them a call and grab a lesson, even if it's only one lesson. Go go go :hyper: :bassist:
