Bass Upgrade/Customization

:hyper:I have a Mahar Bass that I have been customizing for awhile and was wondering if anybody can give me some tips on anything else I can upgrade, change, or configure. Note: Mind the missing G-string. This also still has the factory pick-ups by the way.:bassist:

New knobs, custom pg (not tin foil), MM pup, fill the fret slots (they'll splinter inwards eventually if you don't), D-tuna (if you're into that kind of thing), intonate it properly, set it up, try different strings, strap-locks (again, if you're into that kind of thing), active eq. Anything else? :D

That Sounds Excellent!...And also, what is your opinion on getting a locking system for this?...:)

I'm not an expert on strap-locks (my bass is too cheap to bother) but do a search, I'm sure you'll find plenty of threads.
Oh, and epoxy (or varnish with polyurethane, my personal favourite) the fingerboard after you've filled the slots. I can share some threads that have helped me with defretting my bass if you want.
Good luck, there's loads you can do with a bass, enjoy it! :)
