Bass VI strings on a baritone guitar?

How long is the distance from where the ball-ends are anchored at the bridge, to the E string tuning post? Depending on that we can give you some advice as to sets that fit.
Subbed. I've got a 66BT Dano (B-B) and has 30" scale, approx.
I have been wondering the same thing. I really don't think I'm missing anything not having it E-E but it would be fun to try and make it easier to peg some songs, etc. Length isn't what I worry about but is the tension different enough that it would be hard to keep in tune (bridge) or be more load than the neck is made for?
@HelpImaRock do they work? Did you need to drill for the low E? Is the HC6N LaBella set the winner?

I had already drilled out the low E to get an Ernie Ball .72 in there when I strung it B-B. So I can't speak to that. What I can say is Danelectro didn't match the string spacing on the '63ri Baritone bridge to the neck, and putting thicker strings on it makes it feel more cramped. I do think the tension on the Hellcat set is good. It's not an instrument I play a lot, but I pulled it out recently, and it felt good.
Skipping way ahead, covid goals...I built a partscaster with a Fender baritone Tele neck, 27" scale. I splurged on Fralin pickups, so glad I did. It's becoming my favorite guitar and I'm spending way too much time playing it. B-B. I dropped to A-A and was OK but a little sloppy, not like the 30" scale with bigger strings. I'm using .13-.62. Maybe I should give up bass and just play Wichita Lineman!
I finally got so frustrated with my Dano Baritone that I went looking for a new bridge and found exactly what I needed. I bought a used Jeff Senn baseplate that happened to come with the longer screws. I also bought a set of Gotoh/Wilkinson locking compensated saddles.
Now that it's restrung, I started looking at new strings because the LaBella Hellcat strings are 3 years old. Turns out they don't make them anymore. I called LaBella and was told to make a custom Bass VI set on their website and put "33" speaking length for Schecter Hellcat" in the notes. Costs $13.50+ $5 shipping. I think the stock Hellcat strings were $35. Super cool.

My new LaBella strings are here. Haven't put them on, but I measured the low E against the guitar, and it's the correct length. Winnar.
