They were my two choices as well, although I had the Streamer then the MM. Close call, though!

This was an interesting thread for me though. I've always played fingerstyle, but have recently been trying to develop my pick technique due to problems (arthritis??) in the fingers of my right hand. It's tough to change after decades of fingerstyle...

Why do I always come across these threads on my work computer with little puny speakers built into the monitor. I will try to remember to vote when get home so I can actually tell what they sound like.

I voted for the P-bass because I'm a P-bass kind of guy, but I think they all sounded great. The Warwick Star Bass surprised me the most, I liked it 2nd best.

Ironically, I have pretty nice headphones here at work, but use puny external PC speakers at home. I don't use headphones at home because I don't want to be chained while I practice bass, but don't use a nice audio because I'm currently living in an apartment.

I have a set of cans that I keep forgetting to bring to work, I remember them every time I come across a thread like this one :D

I have a pretty decent set up on my on my home PC, Focusrite interface, which feeds a 4 channel mixer, that also feeds back into the interface for recording, and a set of M-Audio monitors. It gives me a pretty accurate representation at any volume.

Mine keep forgetting to make the reverse trip. Need to buy another set.

Surprisingly, the Star bass was my favorite. I was intrigued by how much "snap," it had. Snap, bite, growl, presence, but still smooth. But they all sounded really nice. Maybe that's why own a P, a J, a Ray, and a Warwick...maybe i need to get a semi hollow now.

For it was was a toss-up between the Jazz and the Streamer. The Jazz was really good, I liked it very much, the streamer seemed to have just a bit more oomph behind it so I voted for the streamer.
