Bass XII?

Hi all! I have a cheapo Squier Bronco bass lying around, and I'm a huge fan of the Bass VI, so I was wondering: Would it be feasible to plug the holes in the headstock, reshape it to a hockey stick type look, drill new holes, and mount a new bridge? I've seen it done to six strings, but never for twelve. Would this amount of tension put excess strain on the truss rod, or would an adjustment be enough? Also, if it does seem feasible, does anyone know where I might find a clone of the Electric XII's bridge? It seems to be similar to the Bronco's bridge, so maybe it could work as a replacement. Any and all advice is welcome.

A few thoughts. The Bronco's nut is 1.5" wide, which is the same as the original bass vi. The guitar xii had a wider nut, at the more modern 1.6" width. I'd wonder if you have enough nut width to make a 12 string double course bass work? That's not even considering whether the neck is strong to support a set of both bass and guitar strings at the same time. Curious to hear others' thoughts...
