Got the brakes working well enough to have gone through a test-ride without wiping out. I may have to take this on some trails further away from my place and see how it handles.

Total cost? $241.03 CAD.

I splurged on some parts, used some parts that were donated, fixed some parts that didn't work and liberated some parts from frames found in the vicinity of dumpsters. All in all, I'm not going to show off my trail riding skills, but I'll be darned if I'm not proud of making this into a working thing from starting off a couple years back.

I don't think this would constitute a "finished" state for this bike - I've already got ideas, but this will make a great summer ride to complement my commuter.

I'll point out that in the second pic, that's actually overlooking a highway, you just can't see it because of perspective. If I turned my camera around, you'd see my place. But it LOOKS majestic ;) .

Surface 604 Quad ebike ala mountain bike. Started riding a about 5 years ago, moved to electric two years ago. I ride mostly bike paths and some shared roadways. I live in Oregon so mostly it’s rural. Ride about 200 miles a month during the warmer parts of the year.
Recovering from sub-Scap/rotor cuff surgery from endover accident last August. Played a big gig three weeks after the crash and the scabs were off my nose and lip. Just out of 6 weeks in a sling, played a couple of gigs near the end of my right arm quiet time. Can’t wait to ride again!

Here's the new road bike , got the chance to try it only once before winter ( snowed yesterday )
Frame is a Kocmo , german made Ti frame.
Transfered parts from the old one , got to mount new wheels because of disk brake.

Love the feel of the Ti , my MTB is Ti also and I wanted wanted that for the next road bike.
I don't regret the move.

I agree! TI has the feel of steel but without the added weight. That's a stunner right there.

Wow that's nice. I love steel bikes but have no experience with Ti. Years ago, I really wanted a Seven but never came close to getting one. Ended up with a carbon Scattante.

Kia ora all! Mountain biker from New Zealand here. I am a fan of Specialized bikes, and have had a few Stumpys and Enduros. Here's a pic of my 2017 Fattie:

And here I am at the end of the Highlander Geyser to Lake (In the Whakarewarewa Forest, same trail system where they held one of the downhill events at Crankworks Rotorua:

I sold my purp stumpy and got me a 2021 model:

At the finish line of the Winterfest, same location but in winter, it was cold and muddy, rain and sleet at the summit. It was great fun!

And my dirtjumper, 2008 Specialized P2:

I also have a couple of road bikes, a Trek domane that lives attached to the trainer and a Scott CR1 Team that I commute on and ride when I just need to get the legs moving.

Thanks for reading!

I've got something similar, maybe from around 2010. It's a pig on the road but it sure is fun on trails. I don't do anything hardcore at all; I'm too much of an old roadie. I can't remember the exact model, and it's way back in the storage shed so I can't get at it to see, right now.
