Basses besides Ibanez with thin narrow necks

First off, if this question has been asked in the past sorry and mods can you move this post to the appropriate thread?

Iwas wondering if there are any 4 string basses besides Ibanez (I didn't really like the feel of the Ibanez bass I tried in the store). I'm thinking down the road I might get a second bass but I would like everyones oppinion first so I don't look like a fool in the store haha!

Peavey Cirrus basses have pretty thin necks. Thinner than a Fender Jazz bass neck anyway.

+1 on the Jaguar's neck. Played a Jaguar at the GC in Raleigh last month and the neck on it was sick thin.

So that I understand you: Are you saying that the US made HWY 1 has the same design profile as the GL bass, which is made in Japan?

Schecters are also smaller necked as well as being thin.

I believe the Geddy has the thinnest neck of any full scale bass. Thinner than Ibanez for sure.

Just out of curiosity, your post seems to indicate you only tried one Ibanez. Which one? They can vary depending on which model you tried. Given a choice between my SR300 and a Fender Jazz, yeah I'm with you, I'd probably take the J, but given the same choice between my SR505 and a comparable J, well I tried the Fenders and bought the 505. If you did only try one, I think you owe it to yourself to try a few more before dismissing the entire brand.

Certain Carvins have fairly narrow necks, plus the neck on my Squier FVM Fretless is very thin.

I wasn't dismissing them, I just said that the Geddy had a thinner neck than Ibanez basses. I've tried quite a few of them (SRX, SR, BTB and ATK series) and all of them were thicker front to back than the Geddy.

These are somewhat hard to find available, but they are cheap. The Peavey Axcelerator 4 string is a thin neck that is narrow. I have a PLUS swamp ash model that I love.

Well, I tried a used GSR200 and was not happy with it at all or the store where I found it but that's another story.

I have very small hands so I would need a bass where I could get my hands around the neck easily.

Do these Fenders listed above have passive or active pickups?
