Basses besides Ibanez with thin narrow necks

Also check out Hagstrom and Burns. Very narrow necks.

My Hagstrom makes a Music Master seem fat.

Does anyone know where I could get a modern bass with a thin neck like this?

I have an Ibanez sr500 and it is crazy thin/narrow. I have played a few peaveys (can't remember what model) they also had very thin/narrow necks. I was looking for a bass for around 1000 bucks at the time so that should give you an idea of the model. A warwick thumb I used to own was narrow but not nearly as thin as the Ibanez. I have owned a few fender jazz's and they were not near the Ibanez or Peavey. I can't imagine the Geddy is, but I haven't tried it. If it is I will have to try it. :)

Sorry, I guess I wasn't very clear. My hands are tiny so I would need a bass that has a neck I can get my hands around. Just an example, I went in to a guitar store and tried out a Washburn 14Q and my left hand (which is my fretting hand) actually hurt after holding this bass for only a few seconds. The neck was too wide and thick for my hands. That's why I settled on my ESP B50 because I could get my fretting hand around the neck without feeling pain and tension.

Does that help?

Just for info, I have small hands too and have had a Yamaha 375 and an Ibanez RD605, both of which caused me pain as the fretboards were too wide for comfort - stretch was causing tendonitis. Otherwise there was nothing wrong with those two basses - both lovely!

I was put on to the Hohner 'B' Bass V:

This was built in the Cort factory in Korea and is finished to a high standard - also a lovely narrow 5 neck I can get my hand around. Currently I see 4s & 6s - haven't seen a 5 for sale for a while.

Metalmariachi what model do you have?

My mother has a Hagstrom 1 electric guitar which has a nice tiny slim narrow neck and I wanted to try the new Hagstrom 4 string basses to see how they felt but no dealers have them up here yet or they won't order them because they cost at minimum $900.00.

Does anyone know if the new Hagstroms are passive or active?
