Hey, I've been looking at an Ibanez BTB400QM. Does anyone know if these are good metal basses?

CaM90 said:You could use any bass for metal. I would though reccomend either Warwick, Ibanez, or Spector.
Steve Harris from Iron Maiden uses a P-Bass....with his fingers.mofomage said:Fender P-bass, gotta have that THUMP!!! Unless you use fingers, then I don't know.

Like are you playing like megadeath type of metal or stuff like children of bodom, two completely different metal bands, it really depends on what kind of metal your playing. But my vote would be either spector, fender j(Opeth bass player plays one), or an ibanez.
