If you can find them, the Danelectro DC Bass and the '63 Long Scale are both full scale basses with necks that stay pretty narrow. The width down the fretboard is almost identical to a Ric.

I've never seen a thinner neck than on a late 60's VOX Teardrop hollowbody. It was like a lute - very thin!
Love the Fender Performer. They were one of the bravest contemporary Fender bass products made. Not for everyone, but a very cool/unique instrument. I have a nice 86 RIC 4003 I'd trade for one today!
