Basses with that "Hi-Fi" sound

Here's a great youtube clip of three hifi bassists on stage together. Stanley with his Alembic, Marcus with his Fender and Victor with his Fodera. All side by side. Of course their playing styles are very different but it gives you a feel for how hifi each bass can sound and how much sonic flexibility the bass can have even with only 4 strings!
Great video, enjoy.

Wow, what a great clip. And educational as to Hifi sound too!

Of course, to me a Marcus Fender is like about as hi-fi as Fenders can get and going slap-style pushes that to the limit too.

Hey, I guess if S, M & V only needed 4 strings, it's time to sell all my basses and see if I can find a vintage Fender 4 string like I played years ago. But yeah, smart comments aside, I WAS amazed at what these guys can do with just 4 strings. Personally, I would never have attempted it with just a 4.
