Kavyen Tempery does a good job of lead vocals and bass in Eskimo Joe, I was also at a festival yesterday and saw the bassist of Regurgitator basically rap/sing a few songs solo if you're into that kind of thing. And finally, obviously we can't forget Paul McCartney...

Ben Ely does a fair amount of singing even just backups; when they played at the university here a few years ago, he did a scorching version of I Wanna Be A Nudist!

McCartney, you only have to look at some of the old live footage to realize he's doing quite busy stuff cross-rhythm to his often difficult harmonies...just freaky.

I play bass and sing occasionally. I find it much easier to do with a pick, as opposed to playing finger style. Something about using the fingers on my right hand and singing just doesn't gel with me.

dUg Pinnick was mentioned but I gotta bring him up again for 12 string madness AND singing. And that tone blows me away.

And of course, yours truly. I am in two bands - classic rock power trio and what is supposed to be a 5 piece 80's rock cover but we just lost our singer. Guess who is doing the leads for now...

It is not easy but very rewarding. Some how though the guys don't buy it when I say I get 2/5 of the gig take because I am playing two instruments! LOL

i play and sing in a southern rock and blues band.
we all (4 out of 5) take turns a lead vocals, some better than others. we do some pretty good 3/4 part harmonies.
i like giving the voice a break also. i do love to sing and play but i have stupid fingers on some songs so i leave it alone.
what about Mark (last name?) of Level 42?
that guy can seriously jam while singing great vocals.
