Don't dismiss them before you try on a pair. They're comfortable as hell and they make long days at work much more bearable.
Plus, the wheels do pop out, so you're not stuck with them all the time.

I wear Adidas Originals sneakers. got a pair of Monaco GP Lo, Dragon and Cup68s.
also purchased a pair of Nike Skeets last year and I got a pair of Justin AQHAs on order from Sheplers - my first cowboy boots, hope I like the way they feel and look.

i dont wear shoes when I play on stage...I can feel the vibrations from my amp and the kick drum better and it also makes me feel more comfortable and calm.
I've got a few pairs of cheapy trainers and converse for in the gym.
My day to day trainers right now are a pair of New Balance trainers:

For the past several years I have always taken my shoes off while playing, so I'm not sure why I'm posting. I do wear shoes much of the time, just rarely whilst playing.
I wear a pair of Earth Spirit sandals I picked up at WalMart this past spring. $25, flexible, lightweight, comfortable. I love wearing them when playing, but now that it's summer I'm wearing them all the time. Maybe I should have bought two pairs!
