Keep 'm freaky posts commin', but don't forget this is all about bearded basses, ehm, beards that get entangled in basses, ehm, beards on bassists! That's it!
And how freaky people with beards that play bass actualy are (the people, not the bass!).

Recent German research has shown that people who play bass and like to talk about it on the internet are kinda unusual, but on the scale of unusualness they rise once they grow beards.
There is no evidence that the length of the beard, nor the amount of time the person actualy has a beard is of any influence to the degree of unusualness.
It is however proven that people with only mustaches are unpredictably unusual.
Digging deeper in this matter, the German researchers have found an unanswerable relation between unusualness and size of the mustache.
It's their opinion that the smaller the mustache, say as wide as the nose, the more unpredictable weird and freaky its bearer is.
There's even an assumption that a degree of evilness can be connected to bearers of these small mustaches! Especially if they also wear uniforms...
