BassMods K6 replacement pickups

I just ordered a bassmods k6 fretless. It comes with those import Kent Armstrong pickups. I'm not sure what they're like, since I have yet to get the bass, but one of the things I wanted to do was get some Nordstrands for it.

I've liked the Big Singles since I heard them in my old Ibanez SR1206. I checked, and the Big Singles are 4.675" L and 1.27" W... however, the KS6s are 5.1" L and 1.5" W.

Aside from having a 1/4" gap around the pickups would there be anything else to take note of? Can I order a custom size from Nordstrand (Or, more precisely, will it cost a lot to do so) ?

Alternately, are the import Kent Armstrongs good pickups? I've read good things but I'm not sure what to expect otherwise.

I have a K6 with the import Kent Armstrong pickups and love the sound of my bass! YMMV, but give em a shot!

Cool! I'm definitely open to them. Maybe I'm just prone to wanting to change stock pickups. The only ones I've ever been happy with were the Nordstrand Big Singles in my old Ibanez and the proprietary Yamaha ones in my TRB6PII.
