I'm looking for a wah pedal that can even make my open
E become all "wahhy," I remember trying a 105Q and it didn't work well with my lower notes. I'm probably gonna get two wahs (ala. Timmy C.) so that might help move the lower frequencies, and it'll also be used with a synth wah and a fuzz/distortion as well, so any suggestions (I'm also trying to go for a heavy, fat, almost hip-hop tone). Thanks

Timmy C splits his tone:

Chan A = Clean
Chan B = OD->Wah
Chan C = Dist->Wah

At least that's the quick and dirty breakdown. It's cus of the distortion that he gets the wah to sound on the low notes. Then he blends in the clean channel to avoid low-end loss.

Sounds to me like a job for a Moog filter or other analog lowpass filter, with an expression pedal, instead of a wah.

I like the EBS as well, but I really don't think it is worth it for me to spend so much on a Wah, so the Dunlop is still the best I've found for what I want. I'm going to look for that Ibanez, though.

Does anyone have samples of the Ibanez on Bass?

The original and reissue Morley Power Wahs will sweep through an open E! However, they're not "funky" wahs - definitely of a different breed. I'd recommend checking them out if you can.

The Morley Dual Bass Wah works nicely, too, but like the Crybaby 105Q, it's not very pronounced on those lowest notes.

IMO, most wahs can't make dramatically pronounced sweeps through the low notes unless they have a lot of high end bite at that level. That's why the Ibanez Weeping Demon, the Dunlop Crybaby From Hell, and the Morley Power Wah are pedals to consider.
