Battery Powered bass amps...

Hey tbirdbassist, for a real world demonstration of the pignose stuff, that homeless bass dude in timesquare uses it. I think he calls himself "bass monster" or something like that. Sends a Warwick through a zoom pedal and into it. I'd say it's what your looking for, cause idk if I misread this or not, but I don't think you can get a motorcycle into the subway...unless everyone just meant the battery. Now I feel dumb.

Also, as long as a train isn't coming through a station, you're not gonna need that much power, and probably want something a little trebly. Think about the acoustics of a subway platform. Assuming you guys make the audition.

I have used the crate taxi series for this, not beautiful sonically, but reasonably full sounding. Great for picnic level gigs as well.

Can't add too much to this...right on the money. My TX30 works well in this context. You can hear okay with acoustic guitars/congas etc. Not the lightest/cheapest thing out there, but a means to an end.

That Carvin Stagemate S400 looks sweet to me. More power, a woofer that's suited to bass, and more channels... Put a battery-supplied SansAmp or the like in between the bass and the input and you could do the nasty if you wanted.
