It does power the amp up but I have not used it over the long duration as I have not had to do so- mainly have it for future contingencies-

Battery powering a Phil Jones Double Four

Someone mentioned an alternative to the more expensive Phil Jones brand bag (Arriba) earlier in the thread but durability was an issue- you might be better served just to bite the bullet and get the genuine article-

I REALLY like my PJB carry bag that was bundled with my D4+. It is well constructed, has lots of padding, metal hardware, and just enough space to slip in my battery pack.
I just ordered this power bank and the USB-C adapter. I’ve had the PJB D4 for a few weeks as well as the Fishman Platinum DI which really kicks up the output and the efficiency (courtesy of the HPF). I’m excited for a totally wireless gig next week!

I’ve just acquired a Double Four; however, the power supply is not the stock one. It is 20v at 2 amps. The manual states to only use the supplied adapter or you can damage the amp. Since many are using battery power, can that warning in the manual be disregarded? Am I safe to use the two prong plug adapter that was with it or do I need something else? Thanks!
I revamped my battery setup on my D4 amps by attaching the Baseus to the side of the amp after removing the feet on that side. I unglug the cable when putting it in my Arriba AC115MKII bag.
The standard power supply is 20v @ 2.75A so that one is a bit under powered.
Hate to keep beating a dead horse here but either of these a good pick? I also recall someone saying the 20v batteries for power tools can work? Are those more efficient but less convenient? I know regardless, I'll need to buy a separate adapter to connect it.
Two of my amps have a tie dye shirt cut up to cover up the front grill for that psychedelic look. So that's not a bad idea.Maybe you could dig out the embroidery?

Interesting timing. I was going to post a problem I had with the Baseus during a rehearsal Wednesday. I thought it didn't have an auto shutdown circuit, but when there was a short pause in my playing, the battery shut off, and did again when I tapped the strings during a couple non-playing measures. That's all I needed to stop using it. I actually have a compact powerbank I put together with a 10AH lithium motorcycle battery and 200w pure sine wave inverter with two A/C and one USB-A outlets. It has no limiter circuit and runs a good 6-8 hours.
Do you know what the max amperage output of the inverter is? I believe it needs to be almost 5 amps to guarantee no shutdown.
The inverter does not shutdown, the Baseus laptop battery is the one that shuts down if there is no draw or when I slap the strings. I've used the inverter/battery with my Carvin MB15 200w combo amp for years with no issues.
The reason I asked is I have 2 PowrAdd Pro 2's with a max output of 4.7 amps. It's on the hairy edge because one may shut down if I slap the E string at max volume and the other one doesn't. I'm assuming the max draw is right at the edge of what it can deliver at max volume.
The manual for the BG80 says that it's happy with 20 volt at both both 5A and 3 A delivery. The only distinguishing item is the length of time it will run the amp. I'm in the process of trying to find a battery for it but there seems to be no definitive "correct" choice. I have a few high output laptop batteries at home that I plan to read up on and try. We'll see!
I DID see a 20V power pack on Amazon capable of delivering various amperages, but I'm leery of dropping another $155 to find out!
I'm going to stick with my concocted setup, too many variables with the powerbank systems. I setup two, plus as a backup, a Powkey as a third string backup.

i recently got a second cheaper power bank which works great. It is sometimes finicky and takes 2-3 tries to get it working to start but once it’s on it has not shut down on me. These are the two I have which both work great with the usb-c to 5.5mm converter someone else linked in this thread a while back. I think they both run 20V at 5A. They put out more than 100W each so maybe that’s why the loud volume slaps don’t shut them down?
