Bayou Cable experience - Positive!

Hey all. Thought I'd share my recent experience with Butch over at BC.

I inquired about a replacement X2 cable last Wednesday. 2ft, 1/4inch to locking 1/8th. He said he could make it over the weekend. I ordered it Thursday, and bang, by Monday it was shipped and I received it yesterday. He was super helpful, and very quick to respond and produce.

The cable is great. Its connections are tight, the length is perfect, and it sounds clean and crisp.

My one problem (and I emailed Butch about it this morning after I tested it), is that the actual locking connector on the new 1/8th inch side WILL NOT THREAD onto the wireless pack. The old Neutrik cable I have that was shorting, threads perfectly. If I can't get it fixed, has anyone found any quick fixes for this that they've done themselves? I don't think the cable will pop out of the pack. I keep it in a neo tech pouch on my strap. But I'll always have that "fear"...

Besides that (not a huge deal), I'm very happy with Butch and Bayou Cables!

I ordered cables from Butch in the past. His one problem? He makes them so darn good, I don't need to reorder new ones. One particular 20' blue guitar cable has been worked pretty hard by me in the past 7 years and keeps going. Currently, it's being used by our drummer for his electronic kit.

Order from Butch, and do yourself a favor.
