BBNE1 OR BBNE2?

I currently have a Yamaha BBNE1 that I love like crazy. Only problem is its the one out of my 4 basses that actually belongs to my dad. One day I'm hoping he will start playing again and I will need to purchase a BBNE of my own. What are the major tone differences between the two models. I know they are both amazing basses but I would like to make an informed decision when the time comes for me to make the purchase. Which one is more versatile or plays better etc?

NE 1 : more round sound
NE 2 : less round but more strong mid

i prefer NE1 as i hear on Fourplay album, ELIXIR (1995). that TONE is peak of nathan east career, in my perspective
