BEAD to improve technique?

Well I got the bass yesterday. Took it out of the box, checked it over (beautiful!) plugged in for a few minutes to make sure it worked and headed off to practice. No problems, well I did grab the low D instead of the G twice, it was a new tune and I was looking at the guitar players hand, see another reason to use your ears.

G&L's are pleked and the action is set pretty low so the light touch did come into play. I don't know if I'll continue to work on that or raise the action a little.

Congratulations on both the bass and on your success in transitioning to it so easily. It seems almost unbelievable to me that someone could get through an entire practice, the first time with a fiver, and only mix up the B and E strings a couple of times. I guess whatever you were doing to prepare must've worked.

Now, time to go dig out my own fiver....

We recorded some of it, if the quality is good enough I'll post it. The guitarist was going to mix it and burn a CD. We'll see how it comes out.
