Bearfoot blueberry- there's a new version!

Hey everyone,

For those of you who find the bearfoot blueberry to be too muddy, there is a new version out that has a much more pronounced treble response. I emailed Don at bearfoot and he confirmed this minor tweak to the circuit was made to make the pedal more guitar friendly. Prymaxe carries them but I'm not sure if they have been released to all distributors. You can tell if you have a newer version if it has a blue LED and the nature knob works in reverse - that is, turning it clockwise adds bass and turning it CCW adds treble. just an FYI out there for those of you who are thinking of buying this pedal or current owners who find it to be too muddy! On that note, If any of you already have this new design, what do you think of it? Thanks for reading!

Hello. Thanks for this notice, but I see no mention of this pedal at either the Bearfoot FX or Prymaxe websites.

Playing bass guitar through tmy Bearfoot BBBOD amplified just now, my first and ongoing observation of it was reaffirmed: It effectively discards the highest bass guitar-related frequencies at any setting. But it is not muddy-sounding. Dark, thick, round, dark/juicy, ranging to synth bass-y or clack-y, yet it offers lovely and responsive high frequency articulation and nuance.

The trait in question, then, is what the Bearfoot BBBOD does with that high frequency info. It gives it a back seat in its mix. The whole spectrum is there, but you don't get a chance to hear some of it.

I would like to hear the new version... if it exists.

Explains your experience. Going below noon gets darker and deeper, which I'm sure you know already, which could get into muddy, depending on your gear and settings. I think it can be a little dark above noon, but not muddy IME.
