Beat buddy users...

Do you just put your Beat Buddy pedal in your regular signal chain and let it come thru your amp?
If not, how do you use it?

Yup. I put it at the end of my chain.

It needs no signal going into it so you can also run it through a mixer on it's own channel, in a DAW on it's own channel, etc.

That's how I run it. At the end of my signal chain of pedals then through my amp.

I've run the Beat Buddy into a bass amp with success. The bass amp EQ can handle the frequencies fine.

I prefer to put it through the PA. I find it gives a better quality of sound and I can control how much of the drums I want to hear in my monitors.

If you have a guitar amp handy, send the other output from the beat buddy (other stereo channel) into the guitar amp
That way it can emphasize the high frequencies that the bass amp leaves out

What are some good options for the external footswitch? Not that there is anything wrong with the official Beat Buddy switch, just wondering if anyone has experience with other switches? In particular, I like the form factor of the Boss FS-7, but it is not clear to me if this is an option that would work with the Beat Buddy.

I have a beat buddy external foot switch question. Is a beat buddy 2 button foot switch the same as a regular foot switch?
I have upgraded to the Midi Maestro and have had a beat buddy external foot switch that I got from sweet foot a number of years ago.
Recently, I added a Line 6 Pod Express to my board (and really like it) and was thinking I could use my old Beat Buddy external foot switch with it. This is what the Pod Express needs:

Is the switch for the beat buddy the same as this one that Line 6 calls out for the Pod Express Bass Pedal?
