This one affectionately known in Fodera circles as "The Beast". A dealer known as Bunnybass was selling it for $5500 if I remember correctly. Tried to raise the funds but failed. To get a Fodera built like this these days IF they had a similar Chestnut top would be north of $20,000!
 
Roger and I have spoken about this instrument. It's that particular piece of ash that makes this instrument so attractive to me. Not a piece you would find every day.

Understood. I've asked him about a recreation of the #4320 5-string I noted (below), too. I still am gassing for the original. (Whispering in hoarse desperate voice, "Dalbergia Negra fingerboard, Dalbergia Negra fingerboard").
