I was interested in the VM Jazz but couldn't find one to play. I found a Fender American Standard Jazz at a local shop and played on that and loved it. Based on that, I ordered one from Sam Ash.
I finally got a chance to play the VM Jazz at GC the other day and was just as pleased. I feel I made a good choice.
I took advantage of Sam Ash's President's Day sale and got $100 off my order, the bass, Rumble 40 and a case. They applied $50 to the bass so I got it for $249. It's on back order but I'm willing to wait. It is the one I want, for sure.
I got a call from a rep at Sam Ash yesterday, to tell me that their order from Fender was going out today. Given shipping and handling time (from CA to FL), they should be shipping out my bass sometime next week. Suh-weet!
