Beginner not sure what I need

Hey guys so I've read they a bunch of thread but still having trouble making up my mind

I'm new to music bought a guitar last year borrowed an amp from a friend.

Decided bass was more my style, traded some old video games for a Washburn xb100

Been using a 25w guitar amp but it's time for me to get my own gear, before I break what's borrowed.

I realize that in my price range of >$100 I'm buying used. But I have no intention of gigging, but will jam with friends, (rock/funk) mostly

Is 50w combo enough, or do I need 100w at least

Choices are crate bx50 for $50 looks used
Acoustic b100 looks new for $100

Pass on the Crate IMO. The B100 would do well no matter what the "looks" are.

used Peavey TNT combos can be had all day long under $150. Depending on the era they're about 130 watts, certainly enough for jamming in reasonable sized rooms.

Picked up the b100 it sounded great and was not abused like the others I saw on Craigslist.
