Beginners first bass guitar.

Thanks!
I’m looking to play along my favourite songs with headphones on at first and maybe when i learn more, to make something with my Roland electric drumset. Mainly i just want to learn to play =)
cool, to that end I would strongly suggest grabbing a $100-ish Fender B-DEC 30 modeling amp for a great learning tool and excellent sound at lower volume, google it and find the reviews of how awesome it is with it's song bank etc. enjoy your journey!

Right!
The Iz4005 has his strings the other way around the nut.
But he has a 5 string version. Does it matter?
This is exactly why i’m going to see a professional tutor =D
Here....this is the right picture for your Tune Maniac four string bass. :)
Found this on the internet.

The Maniac has reverse tuners so it's strung differently from most basses out there even the newer Tune basses like mine - so that's probably an important thing to remember when you replace strings on your bass in the future. Rule of thumb I guess is whatever enables the string to feed as straight as possible from the tuner and through the nut is the right direction for your bass. So your particular Tune bass is over, over, under, under. :)

I've only owned one bass strung up in this reverse way at the headstock, my Ibanez EDA900.

I’m 38yo drummer and i’m starting to learn how to play bass.
Last time i had a bass guitar in my hand was back in ´96.

I finally made my mind and after some reading on line, i bought a bass guitar. (I don’t have any speakers yet). I bought used Tune Bass Maniac made in Japan in ´86.
Would you consider this one a good guitar for learning?

I’m going to start by taking lessons from a professional and i was wondering should i go to library and find books on how to ”maintain” my guitar, i.e. how to change strings, tuning, the notes, ”the slang” for the aforementioned or is internet my friend on this too.
Thanks a lot for your answers, and moderator can feel free to delete this, if this is on wrong thread.

Those are truly great. I would love to score one for my own arsenal.

Good luck on your low journey. Getting a nice first instrument and few hours with a tutor is exactly what I would recommend. I suposse I would be much further if my first guitars didnt stink or if someone have told me how things work.
