Beginning Composer

Janek,

I was wondering what sort of obstacles you encountered when you first started composing and what your experience was like when you first started. What advice would you give to an aspiring jazz composer who's just getting started? Thanks!

I think you just have to keep doing it over and over. that's the only way to make mistakes and learn from them. figure out what works and what doesn't. have lots of rehearsals and record them to have a reference of ideas that work well. Those are some of the things I did when I was getting into writing.

Easy,

Janek
