Ummm,... wow!

The only thing is... Empress is known for it's pristine clean sound. But, every peal they've done so far has been spot-on!

There's a lot to potentially like about this setup, for sure! I could potentially replace 3 of the pedals on my guitar board. Hmmm....

"The fine folks at Empress Effects debuted a new fuzz/distortion/overdrive pedal at the NAMM show this week. Dubbed the Multidrive, the all analog unit has the ability to blend each of its three ‘channels’ to taste. The pedal allows the user to save to setting configurations and switch between the two – good for rhythm to solo tone switching. Each of the three circuits are unique and can be individually high-pass and low-pass filtered. The fuzz goes into Muff territory easily. The overdrive supplies smooth germanium break-up. The distortion has three modes taking it from controlled to sizzling while retaining a tight low-end..."

Hmm,... if it can save settings, that implies a digital control section & vactrol. That means more $$$

Of course, I'll believe the specs quoted above when Empress publishes them! I don't see any obvious blending functionality or preset saving switch that Empress usually uses.
