They really should make it opensource
I don't need another DAW, but another DAW that is opensource would be a whole new ball game.
They should also make it for Linux
And put it on their Mixers (which run a *nix underneath)

As do most things these days.
I hope they do release a native Linux version. One big reason I use Harrison Console’s Mixbus DAW is it has a native version for Linux along with Windows and MacOS. But I wouldn’t hold my breath for a full open source release from them since I’m sure they'll be incorporating plenty of proprietary code from 3rd parties into their release. A lot of plug-ins look for certain licensing verification code even if they're given away free.
I’m almost exclusively Linux on my desktops these days. But having multi platform support is still very important to me.
