Behringer B212a ?

Anyone using these?

I'm looking for experienced opinions. It would serve as small PA, possibly a stage monitor, and/or an Acoustic/Keyboard amp.

I have a pair of them. We use them for stage monitors, and they do the job well. At a house party we played this past weekend, I used them as mains (didn't need monitors, we playing on a large outdoor deck). I find them VERY "bassy", so I have to cut the bass quite a bit (at the speaker, that is), otherwise, they are a good, cheap solution. Like all Behringer gear, it works as long as it works ... and when it dies, replace it ... repair service is virtually non-existent. No matter, I can buy three of these for the price of a Mackie SRM350. BTW, we use Mackie SRM450's for our mains, and they really do the trick.

My bands are all acoustic based (guitars, upright bass, banjo, mando, fiddle, etc) and heavy on tight vocal harmonies. I couldn't say how these speakers would perform for a rock band.

I went ahead and purchased one of these last night. Primarily I was looking for an acoustic guitar amp. Since I also needed practice room PA speaker(s) I'm jacking the acoustic straight into a samll mixer and then running the output to the B212A.

So far so good.

I have a pair of them which i use as monitors in my PA setup.

I use a bit of behringer stuff. Subs, folback EQ. Generally am happy with it. One of these, however, did break down. (only behringer item i've ever had break down). Under warranty and Behringer replaced it, which was the best warranty service i've ever had.

Apart from the one that failed, they've been good, probably done 25 shows in the past year plus a fair bit of use in my studio. They've been used indoors and out, including at times for bass foldback without an amp. I wouldnt use them as FOH cos i generally use them with a pair of JBL eons as FOH. Without doubt, the eons sound better and clearer.

They do have a lot of low end but that can be EQed. I run a folback EQ anyway and roll off the unnecessary lows.

At the price, i'd recommend them... but like all cheaper things, they won't last forever.

That's exactly the type of plan I have in mind. I'll be buying the second as soon as budget permits (hopefully this weekend).
