Behringer BXL 1800 1x12 combo amp

I'm looking for a small decent sounding home practice amp while I'm deciding on which 210 to get for small-medium gigs

I went to GC today and saw a used Crate practice amp and checked it out. I wasn't very impressed with it, sounded like there were speaker problems.

I then started playing a behringer bxl1800 1x12 combo amp and was pretty impressed with the sound. It didn't get all that loud but the tone was musical and the bottom seemed to hold together pretty good. I was playing a MM Bongo through the amp. Price seemed good too; it was on sale for $169. Is anyone familiar with this amp?

I read some negative user reviews on Harmony Central about this behringer amp (unreliable, breaks down, etc), so I went back to GC the next day (today) to check out more practice combo amps.
I tried a couple of small Fender combos, a Peavey, another Crate, the Line 6, all with 8" or 10" speakers, all not too powerful. All of them except the Line 6 broke up in the bottom, even when not being pushed too hard. The Line 6 didn't break up but I just couldn't get a sound out of it that was pleasing to my ears (too boomy, couldn't get a "defined" sound out of it).
I was looking around GC to see if there was anything else to plug into; the only other amp I could see was that lonely Behringer sitting there.
I tried it again, and again found it musical, nice tonal varieties and a solid bottom that didn't fart out. I figured, what the hey, maybe I'll be lucky and the amp will hold up on me. The salesman even lowered the price another $30 to $140, as it was the last one they had.

Ive been looking at that amp online for awhile, i plan on going to gc this weekend, hope they have it. How much of a difference will there be sound wise between the regular cone and aluminum cone amps?

Damn, went to my gc today, they didnt have either model. THey did have the other 180watt amp. The one that ive heard many stories of catching on fire. Think its called the bx 1800. Anyway, is that the main difference between the paper and aluminum cones?
