Behringer HB01 hellbabe setup problem

I've recently bought a HB01 hellbabe wah pedal, and I ain't able to make it work how I think it should.

My problem is that the pedal only works if I step on it, if I let it go I lose the signal.
The way i've got it setup is the following:
Bass/pedal/amp.

Any idea you might have to make it work is welcome

it's got a lot of knobs.. it's prob the way one is set. I have this wah& still haven't figured out every knobs deal. I know if you set all of them halfway you get a nice useable default. oh.. & I also like to throw a weight on it & keep it pressed down for a really cool mid filter/boost in fact I really like it like that for bass & mostly use it as a traditional wah playing regular guitar.
